Therapy
No therapist can be an expert in every issue, so it’s important to know what you’re hoping to get out of therapy as you choose the right provider for you. Some folks have very specific concerns they want to address, while others seek therapy more generally to process their feelings and organize their thoughts in a safe and non-judgemental space. If you’re looking for something specific, please check out my areas of expertise and experience outlined below.

*My body image work (and overall approach to individual healthcare) is informed by a “Health At Every Size” (HAES) framework. This means you are the expert on your body, and every person, regardless of size, has the right to autonomy, integrity and respect when they seek out the healthcare they need and want.
I practice several evidenced-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Exposure Response Prevention Therapy (ERP), and Written Exposure Therapy. As a therapist and social worker, I believe strongly in fostering an anti-racist, LGBTQIA+ affirming, social justice minded therapy practice. As a cis/hetero/white woman, I realize I may not be the first choice for marginalized clients when searching for a therapist, however, I will always work to create and maintain a safe space for them should they choose me.
